Colletive intelligence is about
ability to collectively think, learn
and work together by leveraging
the collect potential of a group.
It is about dispelling collective
or organizational ignorance and
nurturing group IQ & EQ. Collective
Intelligence facilitates knowledge
creation through community Interactions
and systematic teamwork. There must
be common identity to nurture and
harness collective intelligence.
We can call it corporate mind, group
mind or organizational memory.
Collective intelligence can be
either team based or community based.
Team is aligned based on job, project
or task objectives. Team interactions
is little organized and it might
be restricted to the boundary.
Community model removes hierarchies
and it can be either organized (regulated)
or unorganized (open and free flow
of opinions). Unorganized community
interactions might be little chaotic
and sometimes it brings out the
true knowledge.
People participating in the community
model might have different mindsets
or perceptions. Over the period,
the people with ability to unlearn
and learn new things and openness
to change will gain more and transform.
While open conversations can spark
innovation and change, care must
be taken to control the conversation
towards conclusion.
